Disneyland

We left Vegas Saturday morning and checked into another Marriott in California, Near Disneyland, (Residence Inn Maingate). We walked to Disneyland as soon as we had unpacked the car. We got there at 1:00ish and stayed until 8:00. Then went to Subway for dinner. When we got back to the Marriott we swam and hot tubbed before hitting the hay.
Captain EO is a 3-D science fiction film starring Michael Jackson and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Not Disneyland greatest attraction.

ASTRO BLASTERS-This ride was SO cute. It was the first ride we did and for 3 days, I kept wanting to come back but there was too much else to see, so we never made it back, but I LOVED it and so did Teek and Ryk. Every spaceship has two guns in it and it scores you as you shoot the aliens. It's all black light/glow in the dark in there which is really cool. Rick got the highest score, (obviously), he IS a expert marksman.

Waiting to get on ASTRO ORBITOR.

Teeky was such a pain on this ride. He got in his spaceship and then took off his shoes. Well, the lady came by and said he needed to have them on to ride. He was fighting Brooke and refused to put them on, so I had to unbuckle myself from my spaceship and go back to there spaceship and try and put them on. Well, he sees me coming and chucks them out of the spaceship. The whole ride is being held up by us at this point. No, you can't just step down into the pit to retrieve the shoe...the lady had to go get a Grab It from her booth to get it back. I finally got them on him and we rode. He loved the ride and didn't want to get off. He kept saying, "Again mom, again." Ya, no thanks, after the embarrassment, I needed to move on.
FINDING NEMO- This ride was really cute also. You get in a submarine and go through the ocean looking for Nemo. Teeky loved looking out the port holes. They had tons of fun stuff to look at. He loved the fish and starfish.
GADGET'S GO COASTER- We rode this a couple of times. All the kids liked it. They had this thing between them that they all had to keep their hands up the WHOLE time on EVERY ride. Ryker kept saying, "Ididn't put my hands down once." But we caught him with them down a few times in pictures.
This is Russell's, "Whatever Jade", face. Jade saw this hat that had fallen off of someone on the side of the ride, she liked it and wanted it, (gross). Well Russell told her, he would be able to reach it. Apparently it wasn't where she explained to him that it would be, so we left without the hat, (halleluiah).
Teeky is my only child who has liked Mickey. As we were preparing to come to Disneyland I kept telling him that we were going to Mickey's house. As you can see, he is happy to be driving Mickey's car.
Mickey's mailbox- FYI- I heard recently that Walt Disney was afraid of mice and that is why he created Mickey. I feel your pain Walt, I really do!
Rick took the kids to do something that Teek couldn't go on so I took him to IT"S A SMALL WORLD. This was my absolute favorite ride as a kid. I just love all the dolls, I think they are so cute. Teek liked it too. He liked being in the boat. He kept trying to splash in the water, no matter how many time I said to him, "keep your arms legs and all other objects inside the boat at all times." He kept trying to splash.

These animal hedges on the way into the ride were pretty neat.

He was looking so intently at everything. I thought it was cute.

SPACE MOUNTAIN- This was Brooke's favorite ride.
I took a picture of the ride picture. Ryk and Russ made it with their hands up. :)
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN- This is me new favorite ride, (sorry, Small World). I think the detail and realisticness of this ridecompletely amazing! We went on it a few times. It was Rick's favorite also. Jade is completely in love with Captain Jack so she enjoyed it also.

Day 2-TARZAN'S TREEHOUSE- This was really cute. I keep saying that, but I was pretty impressed with all the rides.

SPLASH MOUNTAIN-Waiting in line. My kids were so annoying in line they kept teasing each other. Russell kept doing the, "fake-out tap" to people we didn't even know, (tapping their shoulder and then looking the other way). Ryker refused to walk on the ground. In every line, he would climb on the rocks, the walls, the bars, the ropes etc. It was exhausting.

My friend Merisa told me that her husband Gary LOVES the bacon wrapped asparagas at Bengal Barbeque. Indiana Jones is right next to Bengal and Teek couldn't go on Indiana Jones so while I was waiting I bought myself a little treat. It was spectacular! Of course, what wouldn't taste good wrapped in bacon? Since coming home I have made it twice.
My turn on Indiana Jones, the kids came with me again. They loved this ride. It was Jades favorite ride.
On our way out of the park, we stopped to take a picture with goofy. Look how cute my Teeky is on his lap.
