Lehi Cheer Competition

Lehi always holds their competition around Halloween , hence the cute Halloweeny balloon arch. The last performance of the competition, the Varsity squad does a really cute zombieish dance. It is always my favorite performance.

The girls did really well. A couple of weeks before this first comp, one of their flyers fell and broke her foot so they had to do a bunch of rearranging and then on the Thursday night before their Saturday comp. they had a girl quit, so they had to rearrange things yet again. They only had a 2 hour practice the next day to do this. So considering the circumstances they did well coming in 4th out of 5 teams. They weren't happy, but they did a really good job.

Nina brought all the girls these leis. Jade and Ashley wore theirs as garters...surprise, surprise. I gave each of the girls a pack of purple Starburst with a little little note about how we were bursting with pride watching them shine like stars out on the mat.
