I have been meaning to write this story down for some time. It's been about 2 years coming...So we have this great little river by our house that keeps Russell busy all summer long. So one day he and his cousin Dallin were exploring the river, they came running home so excited, "Mom, there's a dead cougar in the river!" They took everyone they could think of to see that dead cougar. Days had gone by and his excitement had not dissipated. We were driving by the river and he finally got Rick to concede to pull over and check it out. When they got back, I was like, "Well was it all that you ever dreamed it would be?" Rick said, "Well yes, if my dreams included a baby calf." Russell was slightly embarrassed. It was a few days later when we were all driving in the car again, Rick yelled, "Holy crap, there's a whole herd of cougars!" Russell's head whipped to the side so fast, "WHERE?" We all started laughing as Russell realized that Rick was pointing to the herd of cattle that are our neighbors. Russell said, "Dad you're such a jerk!", as he sunk a little lower in his chair. Poor Russ, he'll probably never live this one down, we'll be telling it to his friends and future girlfriends for years to come.Wednesday, November 17, 2010
One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other

If She Looks Confused, It's Cause She Is!
We were driving in the car and Eminem's song, Love The Way You Lie, was on the radio, Jade and I were both singing the part where it says, "Now I know we said things, did things, that we didn't mean, then we fall back into the same patterns, same routines", came on and she said,
" fall back into the same patterns, seventeen"
I was like, "Jade, it's not seventeen, it's same routine."
She responded with, "You're so critisizzle!"
I was like, "Oh my gosh, that's not even a word!" "I might be critical, but I am not critisizzle."
She was like, "Whatever Mom, I think I know my geography."
"Seriously, Jade, Geography?" "Are you sure you didn't mean to say you know your language, your vocabulary, your etymology?" "Anything BUT geography."
She was like, "Like I said Mom, your so critisizzle, and I KNOW that's a word, how much do you want to bet on it?"
I was like, "Yeah, Jade it's a word if you're Snoop Dogg!"
WOW!

Rrrrrrraaaaaarrr!
Teeky is looking at this picture as I type and saying rrrraaaarr, rrraarr, rrraaarr Papa!
Russ has so much fun trying to scare the grand kids and everyone who comes to the door.
The house kiddie corner from Lynn and Russ has a huge pumpkin walk each year where they have carved like 100 pumpkins, it's pretty amazing. These are a few of my favorites.

The Loot
Geez Brooke, You'd think she'd captured Justin Bieber in that bag or something!
Please, all powerful beings from up above, don't let my children puke tonight, I don't think I can handle it!
Poor Ryker with his intsy tintsy, teeny tiny, puny, little midget sized sack! This'll teach him, ya gotta put in the time. wear down the shoe rubber, walk til your legs lose all feeling, rain or shine. No pain, no gain!

Halloween 2010
Jade was a cheerleader, (which really isn't dressing-up since she IS a cheerleader), but Rick insisted that she wear her uniform seeing as how she will have outgrown it before long and we paid a small fortune for it, Brooke was a beauty queen, and Ryker was a rocker. Russell dressed as a girl and went out with his friends to play laser tag.
Teeky was a pirate although with his skeleton mask being worn over his head like a dew rag instead of over his mouth and his hoodie covering his pirate shirt he looks a little like a gangsta.

Ladies Who Lunch
My friend Merisa was having a birthday so I decided to throw her a party. I invited all her friends over for lunch, everyone brought delicious food to share and those who didn't bring food contributed gifts to a basket we made up for her. Pepsi is her drug of choice, so I put a Pepsi lip gloss in the basket.
Me and Merisa
I made her a little accordion book to put pictures of her party in.
Am I the only one who heard the announcement that we were going to make funny faces in this picture?

Hallo-I lost My Weenie Dog!
Rick frequently calls me his, "Tropican Girl", this meaning that my outfits are so outrageous to him that I look like I could have a fruit head dress in my wardrobe. WHATEVER!

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
I lost a little bit of weight, unfortunately none of it was fat. :(
The ponytail ended up being about 18 inches long and then Kelsey cut a little more after the initial whack. I had gotten a trim a few weeks earlier because Rick had not given me his consent to go the distance. Oh-well, Locks Of Love is still getting a good chunk.
Still not quite sure how I feel about it. Glad that I will no longer be confused as a sister-wife or Pocahontas, but the new hair cut has me looking like a mom...oh-well, what's next for me? Maybe a moo moo.

Daddy Daughter Halloween Hoopla
Rick ripped holes right through the knees of his ACU's, sliding across the gym on his knees, in a race.

Gravel Travel
Jadey was riding Russell's bike to the gas station with Kenya, Something is wrong with the brakes and she flipped head over wheels. We had to pick the gravel out of her hands and elbow!

Road Trip
On our way to Zions we stopped for lunch and gave Ryker a little pre-birthday gift for the ride. He loves music, so I loaded some of his favorite songs on this MP3 player for the drive

For someone who doesn't want to get married and have babies she looks like she's in complete adoration of this little punk. Can you blame her?
